Your vegan friends won&#8217;t be happy, but it adds a nice texture and helps retain moisture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 70 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1l water<br \/>\n200g dried yellow split peas<br \/>\n80g onion &#8211; small dice<br \/>\n4g kosher salt<br \/>\n0.5g fresh ground black pepper<br \/>\n0.3g ground thyme<br \/>\n0.3g ground rosemary<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Place all ingredients in a medium pot on high heat.
