The actual work is under ten minutes. I served these hot, though they are just as good chilled or at room temperature, making them a perfect dinner party dessert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 2.5 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>750ml red wine<br \/>\n100g honey<br \/>\n30g fresh lemon juice<br \/>\n4 whole cloves<br \/>\n1 stick cinnamon<br \/>\n4 firm pears &#8211; peeled<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 180C.<\/p>\n<p>In an approximately two litre pot, whisk together the wine, honey and lemon juice.<\/p>\n<p>Add the cloves, cinnamon and pears.<\/p>\n<p>Cover and place in the oven for two hours.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the pears and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Simmer the poaching liquid on medium heat for twenty minutes.
