It looked so pretty after being sous vide and seared, the cabbage didn&#8217;t stand a chance at being star of the plate. Regardless of what image was more appealing to me, the cabbage was wonderful. You can&#8217;t go wrong with the combination of cabbage, apples and onion with balsamic. I used cinnamon\/pear from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frescolio.ca\">Frescolio<\/a>, though you could use most any sort of quality balsamic. Give this a try next time you&#8217;re cooking outside. I&#8217;m pretty sure you&#8217;ll make it again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 30 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 head green or red cabbage &#8211; thinly sliced<br \/>\n1 sweet onion &#8211; thinly sliced<br \/>\n5g kosher salt<br \/>\n2 red apples &#8211; julienne<br \/>\n50ml quality balsamic vinegar (ideally cinnamon\/pear)<br \/>\nFew grinds black pepper<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat an outdoor grill on high.<\/p>\n<p>Toss the cabbage, onion and salt in a large bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Add the apple and toss.<\/p>\n<p>Place the mixture in a grilling basket and place on the grill.<\/p>\n<p>Cook, tossing occasionally until the cabbage softens to your liking.<\/p>\n<p>Place the cabbage in a bowl, tossing with the balsamic vinegar and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Serve immediately.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevskitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Grilled-Cabbage.pdf\">Get the PDF and nutrition info<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I know that&#8217;s a steak.
