That being said, the majority of my cooking is far more complex than what I share here.\u00a0Preparations like this one keep me grounded and remind me, without a shadow of a doubt, that more work doesn&#8217;t alway make something better. In fact, many of my favourite chefs say something to the effect of &#8220;nature gives us flavourful foods and our job as cooks is to not screw them up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Feel free to substitute another <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceanwise.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Ocean Wise<\/a> fish for the cod and adjust the cooking time accordingly. If you don&#8217;t mind sugar, put a tablespoon in the marinade. It&#8217;ll add a nice depth to the flavour and the small amount actually consumed will make next to no difference nutritionally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 15 minutes (plus marinating time)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>\u00bc cup sake<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc cup miso paste<\/address>\n<address>1 tablespoon soy sauce<\/address>\n<address>4 4-ounce portions boneless cod<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combine the sake, miso and soy sauce. Place the cod in a zipper seal bag and pour in the marinade. Remove as much air from the bag as possible, seal and refrigerate for thirty to sixty minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat your broiler on high.
