The crazy thing is, the beans were fantastic! Though they don&#8217;t have all the flavours of a traditional adobo, they definitely have the salty-sour base to stand on their own or make a cohesive plate when served with pork or chicken adobo. This dish takes such little time, there&#8217;s really no excuse for not making it today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 20 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>2 teaspoons canola oil<\/address>\n<address>5 shallots \u2013 thinly sliced<\/address>\n<address>3 large cloves garlic \u2013 finely chopped<\/address>\n<address>1 pound green beans \u2013 trimmed<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc cup soy sauce<\/address>\n<address>\u215b cup suka (or rice) vinegar<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc teaspoon fresh ground black pepper<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Place a heavy pan or wok on high heat and add the oil.<\/p>\n<p>When the oil is hot, add the shallots and garlic, stir-frying for one minute.<\/p>\n<p>Add the remaining ingredients and toss well.
