Even people who don&#8217;t like raw oysters will love these cheese-laden shells of bliss. When the butter spills over the edge, there will be plenty of fire. That&#8217;s part of the show and integral to the cooking process. Enjoy it, but be careful.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to beer aficionado and all around bon vivant,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cenquist.com\" target=\"_blank\">Colin Enquist<\/a> for taking the stunning photograph of these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oysterguide.com\/maps\/prince-edward-island\/malpeque\/\" target=\"_blank\">Malpeques<\/a> and for bringing the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/India_Pale_Ale\" target=\"_blank\">IPAs<\/a> that went so well with them!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 30 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>\u00bc cup butter<\/address>\n<address>1 large clove garlic \u2013 very finely chopped<\/address>\n<address>\u215b teaspoon fresh ground black pepper<\/address>\n<address>\u215b teaspoon dried oregano<\/address>\n<address>12 large oysters on the half shell<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc cup parmesan cheese \u2013 finely grated<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc cup romano cheese \u2013 finely grated<\/address>\n<address>1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley \u2013 finely chopped<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat your barbeque grill on high.<\/p>\n<p>Place a small pot on medium low heat and add the butter.<\/p>\n<p>Once the butter has melted, stir in the garlic, pepper and oregano. Remove from heat.<\/p>\n<p>Place the oysters on the grill and drizzle with the garlic butter, starting at the back of the grill as there will be plenty of flames.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the cheeses on top and close the lid of the grill.<\/p>\n<p>Once the cheese has fully melted and the oyster shells begin to darken on the edges, plate the oysters and serve garnished with the parsley.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevskitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Char-Grilled-Oysters.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Get the PDF and nutrition info<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As much as I&#8217;d like to take credit for this idea, it&#8217;s just my version of\u00a0Drago&#8217;s Charbroiled Oysters.
