Well, even more bacon would be a correct answer, though we&#8217;ve got to draw the line somewhere. What&#8217;s almost as good as the bacon is the fact you&#8217;ve got to open a bottle of wine and only use a quarter cup for the recipe. I wonder what one could do with the rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 30 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>8 strips bacon \u2013 cut into 1\u201d squares<\/address>\n<address>1 onion \u2013 chopped<\/address>\n<address>2 cloves garlic \u2013 finely chopped or crushed<\/address>\n<address>8 cups broccoli florets \u2013 cut to bite-size<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc cup dry red wine<\/address>\n<address>2 tablespoons coarse mustard<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc teaspoon kosher salt<\/address>\n<address>\u00bc teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<\/address>\n<address>4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese \u2013 finely grated<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat a large cast pan on medium heat and add the bacon, stirring occasionally for five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add the onion and garlic, stirring occasionally for another ten minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the wine into the pan, add the broccoli and cover immediately.
