It&#8217;s also so easy to prepare, you won&#8217;t need the recipe the second time around.<\/p>\n<p>If the mix of mussels, squid, octopus and shrimp in a typical seafood medley isn&#8217;t your thing, use all shrimp or your protein of choice. Be sure to adjust the cooking time upward slightly if you&#8217;re using a protein other than seafood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 20 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>1 tablespoon extra-virgin coconut oil<\/address>\n<address>2 shallots \u2013 halved lengthwise &amp; finely sliced<\/address>\n<address>2 red chili peppers \u2013 finely sliced<\/address>\n<address>3 cloves garlic \u2013 finely chopped or crushed<\/address>\n<address>\u00bd teaspoon coarse ground black pepper<\/address>\n<address>12 ounces mixed seafood (seafood medley)<\/address>\n<address>1 pound bean sprouts<\/address>\n<address>6 green onions \u2013 sliced<\/address>\n<address>1 tablespoon fresh lime juice<\/address>\n<address>1 tablespoon fish sauce<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat a large wok on high heat and add the coconut oil.<\/p>\n<p>All at once, add the shallots, chili peppers, garlic, and black pepper to the wok, stirring constantly for one minute.<\/p>\n<p>Add the seafood, continuing to stir for two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Place the bean sprouts, green onions, lime juice and fish sauce into the wok, stirring for one more minute.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from heat and serve immediately.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevskitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Fiery-Fruits-de-Mer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Get the PDF\u00a0and nutrition info<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I can almost guarantee a decrease in your Asian takeout spending after trying this just once.
